Congratulations on making the Fall 2015 Dean's List!

Samford University releases dean's lists after the close of the fall and spring semesters each academic year. To qualify for the dean's list, a student must have earned a minimum 3.5 grade point average out of a possible 4.0 while attempting at least 12 credit hours of coursework. Dean's List is the highest academic recognition given by the school at the end of each semester.

The following students achieved the Dean's List at Belmont University for the Fall 2015 semester. Eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a quality grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C.

Belmont's College of Sciences and Mathematics hosted its 12th Science Undergraduate Research Symposium (SURS) Dec. 3 featuring more than 55 students. Participants presented research posters in biology, biochemistry and molecular biology, neuroscience, environmental science, chemistry, physics and honors-psychology. An additional 24 individual and group oral presentations in psychology were included in the event.

Alpha Chi is the oldest and most prestigious honor society at Belmont University, and induction into the society is the University's highest academic honor awarded. Membership is by invitation only as determined by faculty endorsement of character and intellect of junior and senior students ranking academically in the top 10 percent of the University.

The following students achieved the Dean's List at Belmont University for the Summer 2015 session. Eligibility for the summer session is based on a minimum 9-hour load over 10 weeks and a quality grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C.

The Vol State Honor Roll and Dean's List combined list recognizes students receiving the top academic honor for Fall 2014.

The Dean's List recognition is awarded to students who have completed a minimum of twelve collegiate-level hours with at least a 3.75 grade point average during the awarding term.
