The University of Alabama will award some 2,077 degrees during winter commencement Dec. 16. With a beautiful campus, dozens of challenging academic programs, expert faculty and numerous opportunities for service and growth, The University of Alabama is a place where legends are made. The campus gives students the opportunity to interact with nationally renowned faculty performing cutting-edge research.

A total of 12,594 students enrolled during the 2017 fall semester at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 or above or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.

More than 2,000 JSU students were named to the Fall 2017 Honor's List.

The following students achieved the Dean's List at Belmont University for the Fall 2017 semester. Eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a quality grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C.

Nearly 300 Troy University students pledged Alpha Delta Pi, Alpha Gamma Delta, Chi Omega, Kappa Delta and Phi Mu sororities this fall at the Troy Campus.

Welcome to the Fall Semester 2017. Vol State Merit Pages are a way to celebrate and share your accomplishments.

Belmont's fall 2017 semester kicked off with a record-breaking enrollment number for the 17th consecutive year as the University welcomed 8,080 students to the first day of classes, nearly triple the enrollment in 2000. As part of its Vision 2020 strategic plan, Belmont aims to hit 8,888 students by the Fall 2020 semester, providing more students than ever the opportunity to embrace the Belmont mission to "engage and transform the world."

Congrats on making the Vol State Dean's List.

This summer, Belmont has sent its largest group of students across the world for study abroad experiences. With more than 650 students participating in 34 programs, including Maymester trips, students have spent time in Greece, Brazil, England, France, Switzerland and Haiti, among many other locations.

Troy University is pleased to recognize new students who have completed IMPACT orientation and enrolled in classes for the Fall 2017 semester.

A total of 11,101 students enrolled during the 2017 spring semester at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). Students received a bachelor's, master's or doctoral degree from Samford University.

Austin Peay State University has awarded the President's Community College Scholarship to high-achieving students for the Fall 2017 semester.

Samford University releases dean's lists after the close of the fall and spring semesters each academic year. To qualify for the dean's list, a student must have earned a minimum 3.5 grade point average out of a possible 4.0 while attempting at least 12 credit hours of coursework. Dean's List is the highest academic recognition given by the school at the end of each semester.

The Undergraduate Research & Creative Activity Conference, held March 30, is a premier annual event at The University of Alabama that provides students with the opportunity to highlight their research or creative activity. In addition to bringing attention to the outstanding work being done by UA's undergraduates, the conference allows students to gain experience presenting, become eligible for cash prizes, and form relationships with faculty mentors and fellow conference presenters.
